In-Depth PersonalityRosalie has never been the sort to show copious amounts of emotion or appear exceptionally overexcited about anything. Kidnapped at a young age she learned to repress and hide her emotions in order to survive the torment and moral struggles that accompanied her life at the Russian Assassin Academy. Due to this she tends to appear closed off and somewhat cold towards others, an aloof and untouchable individual. The reality is that Rose is very subdued and faces incredible amounts of insecurity and self-hatred. She is not by nature a killer, but has been made into one by forces outside of her control, and as a result of this she is faced by immense guilt and insecurity from all the murders she commits.
The reality is that Rosalie is still a little girl at heart, wide-eyed and curious about everything the world has to offer her, with a deep seated desire to escape the life she's been trapped in. Unfortunately circumstances have forced her to hide that part of herself deep within, and it is only now beginning to show itself as she travels the stars with David. Truthfully she has thought about leaving the Assassin Academy for many years, but knowing that they have a zero tolerance policy for "traitors" who turn their backs on them and will kill anyone who tries to leave, Rosalie has stayed with them purely for self preservation purposes. One of the most interesting aspects of Rosalie's personality would have to be her strict moral code. She follows a code of honour with devout intensity. If she takes a life that she was not actually meant to take, it becomes her duty to care for the victims family and affairs to the best of her ability. If Rosalie requests that a name not be used in reference to her, she will respect the same request from the other party. Essentially she is extremely fair and justice minded, a stark contrast to her affiliation with the Assassin Academy. History |
please enjoy her theme as you read :) Grew up in a small town And when the rain would fall down I'd just stare out my window Dreaming of what could be And if I'd end up happy I would pray (I would pray) Trying hard to reach out But when I tried to speak out Felt like no one could hear me Wanted to belong here But something felt so wrong here So I prayed I could break away |
Childhood is meant to be a time of innocence and joy, a period in ones life where responsibilities and the burdens of adulthood hold no meaning, and by all rights Rosalie ought to have been given the chance to experience that weightless period of happiness. Unfortunately not every child is given the privilege of a childhood, and for Rosalie that time meant to be filled with joy and laughter was full of fear and darkness instead.
She was snatched from her family at the age of three or four, she had been playing on the doorstep to her modest family home in Russia when three masked men appeared. One of them picked Rose up and held her tightly so that she could not escape, and the others made sure her family would not interfere in the kidnapping. To this day Rosalie's only clear memory of her childhood is the screaming sobs of her mother and anguished yelling of her father as she was taken away from them.
Unbeknownst to Rosalie she was being taken to an elite Russian Assassin Academy, a fringe organization that the government was aware of but made no move against it. There were many reasons for this tolerance of such a vile place, predominately the fact that the Academy was wealthy beyond compare and more than willing to carry out any political assassinations the government may have wanted. In essence the leaders of the country turned a blind eye to all the activities of the Academy in the pursuit of preserving their own deals and assets related to the Academy's business.
The children that were kidnapped were all taken from random stable families during their toddler stages, the intent behind this being that young children were incredibly pliable and easy to train without needing to undo any former bad habits or morals. Rosalie was taken to the initial testing facility where she scored exceptionally high, leading her to be sent to a more elite training aspect of the Academy with girls twice her age.
As per the rules of the Academy, all "classes" were separated by gender, meaning Rose was bunking with girls twice her age that resented her rapid ascent to their level. Rosalie herself was a dreamer and a soft-hearted individual by nature, smuggling books into her dorm and often spending her time immersed in an imaginative world created in her own mind, rather than making friends or attempting to bridge the gap between her and the other girls. Unfortunately the favoritism often shown to Rosalie along with her own natural talent further alienated her from the other girls, leading to the beginning of vicious bullying against her. Initially the cruelties were comparatively minor; stealing her books, putting bugs in her pillowcase, things that were unkind but relatively harmless, but gradually it escalated with their abilities into traps and attempts on her life that left her with physical scars. Recognizing that her only chance at survival was to excel in the Academy program and "graduate" as swiftly as possible, Rosalie applied herself fully and achieved her goal swiftly.
Due to the cruel treatment and incessant bullying she received during her days at the Academy, Rosalie has retained a deep seated aversion and dislike towards other women, is not easily won over by any females, and certainly never trusts another woman fully.
Having graduated from the Academy, Rosalie quickly began to take on missions as given to her by the Academy. Not knowing how to escape this reality, and fearing for her own life should she try to escape the organization that turned her into a killer, Rosalie complied and swiftly made a name for herself as one of the Academy's favorite agents...both for her incredible skill at dispatching targets in creative and surprising ways, as well as her ability to leave a minimal mess and absolutely no evidence of herself at the crime scenes. Any time a high profile target or a threat against the Academy makes itself known, Rosalie is the first one to be called upon.
Unfortunately Rosalie's tale does not end there, and there are a great many other sordid events that happened as time passed. However discussion of them is strictly classified, and Rosalie herself has never truly spoken about them. Likely the only way to properly discover all the wounds and psychological tortures unleashed upon her would be to unlock her heart and have her open up to you, however that is easier said than done, and it is entirely likely that Rose will take her secrets to the grave.
